Dr Kavitha Mathavan is a dedicated Paediatrician who delivers specialist care tailored to the individual child’s needs.
Kavitha has had extensive paediatric training in various paediatric centres in Australia and Sri Lanka. She completed her post graduate training of Paediatrics in Australia and obtained fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP).Kavitha obtained her primary medical qualification in Sri Lanka at the University of Jaffna.
She has work experience at Royal Children’s Hospital, Monash Children’s Hospital, Eastern Health, Peninsula Health in Melbourne and the Centenary Hospital for Women and Children in Canberra as well as Lady Ridgeway Children Hospital in Sri Lanka.
Dr Kavitha Mathavan is committed to research and medical education. She enjoys teaching medical students, GP registrars and junior paediatric trainees.Kavitha is a mother of 2 beautiful children. Kavitha’s backbone is her husband and her family. Special interestsGeneral Paediatrics including , slow weight gaining, constipation, incontinence, asthma, eczema and developmental delay, speech delay, Autism, ADHD and behavioral issues.
